Hi! I’m Stacey. I wear many hats. Here are a few of them: mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, nurse, photographer, daughter, sister, friend, girlfriend.
I am mom to seven awesome kiddos. They range in age from 2 to 20. My oldest is married and mother to my first grand baby, a boy, Ezra. It is the tragedy of my heart that they live in Illinois and I, in Kansas.
My “day” job is registered nurse. I work in a birth care center. Contrary to the initial comment, I work the night shift. It’s what works best for my kids for now. Being with women as they labor and birth, and helping them through those first hours and days of brand new motherhood is the calling on my life. Besides my family, it is my greatest joy.
I am a photographer. It took me a lot of years to feel enough confidence in my work to say that. But I can now. I started with the desire to do birth photography. But that was years ago when no one had really even heard of it. It’s gaining popularity now, so perhaps it will be something I can spend more time doing. When birth photography didn’t really take off for me, I shot any and every thing and soon discovered my love for senior photography. It has truly been my most favorite thing to photograph. My new venture is Beloved. It will be centered around couples. I haven’t started yet, but you can check the Beloved page in the menu to learn more about it and follow my journey.
I’ve recently been introduced to Dungeons & Dragons. I’m currently a Gnome Bard. It’s great fun.
I play a mean game of Words With Friends & Song Pop. Don’t believe me? Challenge me and we’ll see!
If there’s something you want to know that I left out, just drop me a line. I’m pretty much an open book!
